People really make me laugh. AIM Convo from a few days ago. Failboat FTW.
Girl: No more internet girlfriends!
Girl: Less worries ftw!
Me: uhm
Me: what?
Me: wtf are you talking about?
Girl: Boyfriend issues.
Me: wait
Me: you have a boyfriend with an internet girlfriend?
Girl: Not anymore.
Me: back the truck up. Where the hell do you find these bizarre people? I didn’t know you were dating anyone.
*random crap omitted*
Girl: Yep.
Girl: It’s going pretty good so far, almost a month now.
Me: aside from the internet girlfriends
Girl: Yeah.
Girl: But, we talked about that
Girl: He had his reasons.

So I’ve been a bit lazy with my postings lately, I apologize. But I’ve had a lot going on. This is going to be another one of those personal “what’s up with my life” posts. Here’s a rundown of what’s new.
- The holidays were great, got to spend some time with my family and my girl’s family. All in all very enjoyable.
- Went to Chicago for New Years and my birthday with Kayte and had an amazing time, I really needed the vacation.
- Had to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled last week. I was not, and still am not excited about this. The pain has mostly gone away but it’s still a bit irritating. By the end of the week I should be back to near 100% I’m sure.
- I committed to running for school board in Mount Clemens and that’s been taking up a good amount of time. I officially filed and have all my campaign finance stuff set up and underway. Check out the website at ElectJohnCruz.com. I’m hoping to gather lots of support from my Libertarian / Campaign for Liberty brothers as well as the GOP to help me win this race. It links to the facebook group and twitter account as well as a merch store. So I’m really excited about it
- We have more people at my work! A part time developer and a salesman were added to staff, bringing our grand total of in-house staff up to 5. This is also exciting, as it now really feels like a work setting.
With this being the new year and all, I decided I’m going to actually set some resolutions this year as well. For the first time in…forever. Here we go.
- Be a better pet owner. Take pretzel for more walks, play with him more, etc.
- Don’t lose sight of all the things that are important to me, family, friends, etc.
- Don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it. And learn to let it go in cases where they do.
- Keep all my promises and commitments. All of them.
- Don’t compromise my values. Any of them.
- Be the best person I can be in all situations.
- Focus on work when I know I need to.
- Try to not be so tense.
- Update this blog more often.
All for now, it’s bedtime. I’ll post back soon.
