Response to The Huffington Post’s Artice on AfP Yesterday

Yesterday, the Huffington Post wrote a cute little article titled “Conservatives Revel in Obama’s Olympic Bid Failure“.

Let’s set the record straight. Nobody is opposed to hosting the Olympics in an American City. That helps everybody. However, Obama decided it was so important that he would take time out of his life to try and make it happen, at the same time unemployment is nearing 10%. Now, I was a big critic of Bush as well for sidestepping his duties where possible to go vacation or what have you.

The bottom line: this is just another failed attempt by Obama to do something beyond his means. His making a big deal out of it and having it blow up in his face IS a failure, and he should have stayed out of it from the beginning. That’s all there is to it.
